Barry R. Lathan
most recently was the president and CEO of Encad, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Eastman Kodak Company. Encad offers innovative digital imaging solutions, including wide-format printers, proprietary software,
scientifically matched inks and media and service and support. Encad is part
of Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group providing customers with a range of solutions for prepress, traditional and
digital printing, document scanning and multi-vendor IT services.
Mr. Lathan has vast leadership experience in the wide-format industry.
Before joining Encad in September 2003, he was President, CEO and co-founder of KnowledgeTek Software, Inc. Prior to KnowledgeTek, Mr. Lathan was founder and CEO of Xerox ColorgrafX Systems, Inc., a wholly owned
subsidiary of Xerox Corporation and market leader in wide format digital printing solutions.
He founded this large format digital on-demand solutions company in January 1995 and successfully grew the organization
to over $100 million by 1999. Under his leadership, the company set significant technical and market-leading benchmarks for
product delivery. He enjoyed a successful 30-year career with Xerox, starting
in Sales/Marketing positions and eventually assumed responsibility for the Western United States as the Area Vice President
with responsibility for over $1 Billion in revenue. His ability to provide vision and strategic thinking moved him up through
the corporation to the position of Vice President & General Manager of Xerox Engineering Systems and on to leading the
XES team in the new growth market of color digital graphics.
Mr. Lathan obtained his B.S. in Business Administration from Ohio State University
and completed the Executive Marketing Management Program at Stanford University. He has served on the Board of Directors of
Xerox Canada, Inc., Orange County Urban League and the Ohio State University Alumni Advisory.
